AGENTS.md and agent config templates
AGENTS.md is an open, plain-Markdown format for telling coding agents how to work in your repo: build and test commands, code style and things to avoid. Codex, Cursor, Copilot and others read it, and Claude Code reads CLAUDE.md for the same job. These are the format itself plus the most-starred templates and tools around it.

How this list is built: we query GitHub's public search API and rank repositories by star count (log scale) weighted by how recently they were pushed to. Forks, archived repos and anything with no push in the last 6 months are dropped. Descriptions and README quotes are the projects' own words. We have not installed or tested these projects. Stars measure popularity, not quality or safety, so read the code and licence before you run anything, especially skills, plugins and MCP servers, which can execute commands on your machine.
