What a bill review looks like

Illustrative example, not a customer result. Example Co is a fictional team. Every customer figure below is made up and internally consistent; the vendor prices, rules and links are real and dated.

What the example team sent

  • 18 developers. Claude Team, billed monthly: invoices for 16 Standard seats ($25 each) and 3 Premium seats ($125 each), and the member CSV (15 Standard and 3 Premium members assigned).
  • GitHub Copilot Business, billed monthly by card: receipts for 18 seats ($19 each) and the seat activity report with each seat's last activity.
  • Invoices and receipts for Aug, Sep and Oct 2026, the next renewal dates (both 1 Nov 2026), and a note that an internal bot uses the Claude API.
  • Names replaced by labels ("Dev 1" to "Dev 18"). No logins, passwords or system access.

How to read the labels

  • Matches the example files Confirmed: the files and the vendor's dated pricing or rules agree.
  • Needs confirmation A potential issue: what must be confirmed before acting is stated.
  • Not assessable from the files Missing information: the files can't answer it, so we say so rather than guess.

Illustrative example from a worked sample with a fictional team. All amounts USD per month at list price, not invoice discounts or negotiated terms, and not a guaranteed saving. Your own contract overrides anything here.

How the checks are done

  • Amounts are worked out at the vendors' public list prices, with the source page and the date we checked it beside each finding.
  • We only see the files you send. Negotiated discounts, contracts and anything not in the files can't be seen, and your own contract and the vendor's invoice always win.
  • Findings are scenarios, not promises or guaranteed savings. A seat is only flagged as unused with usage evidence, and whether someone still needs it is a question for your team.
  • What you change is your decision.
